Scouting has always depended on volunteers, primarily parents of Scouts, to lead the packs in their programs and activities. It is also part of Scouting’s tradition that most parents who are not registered leaders pitch in to help out.
Each Pack # 100 Scout Parent needs to:
1. Participate with their child.
2. Go to and observe Scout meetings.
3. Serve in one service/support role during the year.
To help facilitate in the service/support role the Pack # 100 Committee has developed Activity Committee’s for various Pack functions throughout the year. Each Scout Parent is expected to participate on at least one Committee each year.
The Pack Committees Are:
- Family Camp Out
- People Pinewood Derby Races
- Pinewood Derby Races
- Blue & Gold Banquet
This program has had remarkable success in other units, increasing parent participation, retention of youth and leaders, and recruitment.
